Opening a Home Electricity Subscription

Please follow the steps below to easily and quickly complete your subscription.

Below are the required documents based on your subscription status.

Find out the installation number for the location you will subscribe for. A picture of the meter or an old electricity bill will also be enough.

Application Documents


Check which documents are required for your application to proceed without a hitch.  Required documents according to your subscription status are listed below.

  • Installation Number / Meter Barcode Number / An old bill of the location for subscription
  • Original Copy of the Identity Card (to be checked for identity authentication only and then to be returned to the customer.)
  • If it is a rental residence, Full Name / Title of the Property Owner (If natural person, Turkish Identity Number; if entity, Tax Identification Number must also be submitted.)
  • If the natural person / legal entity that will complete the procedure is different, a Power of Attorney / Signatory Circular depending on the situation
  • A currently valid DASK (Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool) Policy Number (As per the Disaster Insurances Law No. 6305, you are obliged to have Compulsory Earthquake Insurance to complete the subscription process. If you do not have Compulsory Earthquake Insurance yet, you can take out an insurance policy from any insurance company. If you have a DASK policy but you do not know the policy number, you can call the DASK Hotline at 125 to find it out.) If you are a tenant, you can contact your property owner to find out the number.
  • For Families of Soldiers who died in service, and for War/Wounded Veterans, also an official document issued by the General Directorate of Pension Fund or the General Directorate of Social Security Institution proving that they receive salary for being the family of a soldier who died in service or for being a war/wounded veteran (Consumers in this group can benefit from the relevant right of subscription for only one permanent residence.)
  • A document proving that the person has over 40% disability rating if the subscription is in their own name

  • If there is an ongoing retail sales contract at the consumption point where the contract is to be concluded, this shows that the consumption point in question has a right of use (original copy and photocopy of the lease agreement or title deed must be submitted.)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You need to check with the distribution company to make sure that the new connection processes for your building are completed. There must be energy in your building, and the installation inspection processes must be completed to avoid any danger that you or your family may encounter. After all of these procedures are complete and after signing the Distribution Connection Agreement with the Distribution Company, you can sign a Retail Sales Contract with Aydem Perakende.

You can find the answers to all your questions about subscription services.

If there is no active retail sales contract for the consumption point for which you wish to sign a contract, you will be asked to submit a valid identity document along with your Turkish identity number, your identity details, full address of the consumption point, owner of the property, intended use of the place, and the DASK (Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool) policy number. If there is an active retail sales contract for the consumption point for which you wish to sign a contract, you may also be asked to submit a document proving that you have the right of use for that consumption point, in addition to the details and documents stated above.

As per Article 48 of the Regulation on Electricity Market Consumer Services, electricity subscription contracts must be in the name of the actual user.

Deposit amount, cut-off/connection fee and stamp duty are charged for all contract applications. (No cut off/restore fee is collected for Retail Sales Agreements made when the power is on.)

The contracted supplier requests a deposit amount as a set-off for potential debts that may occur if the consumer fails to pay the electricity consumption fee in cases where the place of use changes and/or the retail sales contract ends or is terminated.

Security deposit of consumers entering into a contract with the incumbent utility shall be calculated through the unit price per kW set by the consumer groups, taking into account the performance of the facility or place of consumption.

Duly signed contracts will be registered within the same day and the distribution company will be informed. The electricity will be supplied by the distribution company within 24 hours for housing settlement areas and within 48 hours outside housing settlement areas, starting from the date of notification or the date on which the obligation towards the distribution company is fulfilled.

Army service martyrs’ families (spouses, children and parents), war/wounded veterans themselves and, if they are deceased, their widows/widowers can benefit from the discount offered for army service martyrs’ families and veterans. To benefit from the army service martyr discount: Families who are determined to be related to a person who died in service and was recognized as an army service martyr by the relevant authorities considering the situations stated in the relevant articles of the Law No. 2330, 3713 or 5434 must apply to their nearest Customer Relations Center together with the documents proving that they got entitled to receive salary by the General Directorate of Pension Fund. War/wounded veterans (if they are deceased, their widows/widowers) defined in duplicated Article 1 of the Law No. 2847 must apply to their nearest Customer Relations Center together with the documents proving that they got entitled to receive salary by the General Directorate of Pension Fund, in order to benefit from the discount for veterans.
